Westside High and Brownell Talbot Schools Upgrade from Traditional Scoreboards to ScoreVision

Published Dec 03, 2015, 04:08 am

Two schools in the Omaha metro premiered their new ScoreVision scoreboards during the first varsity girls and boys basketball games of the 2015-2016 season.

Westside High School

Westside High School debuted its dual 150-inch ScoreVision display units at their first varsity girls’ game late Thursday afternoon. The Lady Warriors kicked off their season with a comfortable win. The spectators were impressed by the scoreboards as they relayed score and foul information in a more dynamic fashion than ever before while delivering dazzling leaderboard photos and statistics for both teams. The boys’ game that followed generated a near unmeasurable level of excitement and anticipation as play peaked with an incredible 4th-quarter surge by the home team only to end on a missed three-pointer in the last second that would’ve won the game for the Warriors.

Brownell Talbot School

On the very same evening, Brownell-Talbot School also premiered its ScoreVision scoreboards during the varsity girls’ and boys’ games. Turning their attention to the scoreboards, the crowd was entranced by an inspirational hype video that took over the display. The video was created by a crew of talented Brownell-Talbot students as a kick off to the first games of the season—designed to inspire and ignite the spectators and players alike. With this, the teachers and students at Brownell-Talbot exhibited incredible vision for what their scoreboards can do outside of just keeping score in a game. They can be used as a platform to help educate and involve students while engaging fans like never before.

The ScoreVIsion System

The ScoreVision system is a multi-faceted, new-technology solution that replaces a single-function scoreboard with something that yields limitless opportunities to do more. It’s a single system that can deliver a scoreboard solution tailored for basketball, volleyball and wrestling while also turning the gymnasium into a high-definition presentation room which can be leveraged for many other purposes during the majority of the time when the facility isn’t being used to host games.
